Question: the segment D000 is not visible

Hi all 

   I am working on the design of ISA board for a PC. It has 
96 Kb of ROM with addresses between C800:0 and D000:FFFF. The board works ok in a pentium 75 but it does not work in more recent systems.
   The reason is that the segment D000 is not visible. 
   Does anibody know what is going on and how to solve it ?
